A new thread of 'thinking' has spread throughout the collective and we have made a decision.
The Borg still strive for perfection and will assimilate all who oppose us, however in light of the war with Species 8472 and the alliance with USS Voyager we believe that diplomatic relations will also benefit us. Therefore diplomatic relations are now open to the Borg and we will consider treaties and alliances.

Starfleet admires this change of heart - but is doubtfull of its integrity - you have just sent 80,000 ships to the Starfleet/Romulan border in hopes of peace keeping, with the remark "We will take advantage of the situation if you go to war". We are not opposing you or getting in your way - it could be said that we are assisting you by closing any assistance that the Romulans have should you invade them. Sending 80,000 ships with threats of assimilation does not seem an adequate way of thanking us.

Dont try and get around us starfleet we dont not favour either race.

who helped you destroy 8472?, the only species ever to come close to eliminating you, you should favour us. But quite frankly if the borg started to like us, it would show that we are clearly doing something wrong to be favoured by such a crude and evil race.

The Borg are clearly superior, we are the ones striving for perfection. we are the most advanced race in the Galaxy. Be wary of where you tread Johnson we will not let things like that slip for long.

The borg may be superior in strength but has humanity not proved time and time again that it is not always superior strength that wins wars - it is our individuality, freedom and morality that helps us overcome obstacles. We do not wish for a war with you, but you are medling in situations that do not concern you. You strive for perfection by eliminating other races, in my opinion that is mass genicide not advancement. You wage war for personal gain!

Who doesnt?
Yes you may have done things differently but when it comes down to it you are not a match for the Borg and you know it. So insulting us is not reccomended.

people wage war if the government is flaud or they feel they can use the space and people much more effectively than the current leader. They do not wage war killing millions of innocent lives just so they can aquire one peice of information. You assimilated species 134 just to aquire one line of information about the Omega Particle (VOY - The Omega Directive). Im sure if you had have asked they would have given it to you. I do not meen to insult you because yes, I know and so does the rest of the galaxy - you are far superior to us in a number of ways - but you have made countless enemies and it is this that will come back to haunt you in the future. Do you really think the borg could survive a galactic wide assault - the invention of transgalactic warp and slimstream technology means you can be attacked at any time from anywhere in the galaxy.

Indeed a galatic assualt on the Borg would be destructive but are any of you willing to risk going to war with us? And who do you think invented the first transgalatic gate? And thridly if you did go to war with us like at the battle of wolf were it took huge numbers of vessel to remove one Borg vessel

You abused the gate that you used, you used it to toss countless numbers of your ships into other peoples space to make your personal glory and victory much easier - it made our border defences obselite. We use slipstream as a means of exploration and peace making not to wage war. No i am not willing to go to war with you but if the romulans attacked inside your space you would not hesitate to send 100,000 ships across their borders to annihilate them. and get revenge. Please dont try to stop us bringing the reman cowards to justice

Its your choice but i think war is an extreme measure.

Yes it is an extreme measure, but it is one that links into the OOC world today. I do not want war but if the Romulans are going to allow these terrorists to go unpunished then their government is clearly corrupt.

Considering the 357 Terran ships the Borg assimilated recently we now have access to slipstream technology and we are getting closer to an answer to your weapons. Your small advantage is weakening Starfleet, so beware not to misplace your confidance.

A war would have galactic consequences and would not be advisable for either of you, it is also true that noone would choose to side with the Borg unless they were bullied into it, or assimilated. Their current behaviour notwithstanding they haven't exactly made friends and influenced people.

But the point is, no one will ever try to destroy the Borg because it can't be done. Yes we are confident because we can be.
